Peter Cresswell, B. Arch., started designing when he was 12, trying to design a successful house within a circle — and discovering in the failure that houses are best designed from the inside out, not outside in.
His houses and commercial work have been built in Auckland and around the world since 1989. Influences include Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, Louis Sullivan, Walter Burley Griffin and Claude Megson. Houses are his first love; his aim with each, he says, to design a home from which his clients never want to leave.
